time for pH drop?

What is a reasonable time to expect for my pH to drop in my 60 gallon
aquarium if I inject a moderate amount of CO2 (enought to get the ph
to drop from 7.4 to 6.8, eventually)?  I have very little surface
movement and the CO2 is being injected into the intake of a Fluval
403.  Also, what fishes will eat a yamato shrimp?
