Has anybody found what they feel is a good solution to keeping fish out of
the overflows in a planted tank? I find that egg crate is much too course,
and will let in even adult fish. Any foam I have tried plugs up very
quickly not with large leaves, which are easy to remove, but with smaller
particles. If I am not diligent, plugged foam = wet carpet. :(
I have been thinking about the air filters used for furnaces, which seem to
recall being a fairly course mat of plastic fibers. Does anybody know if
they would be aquarium safe?
Regards...
Frank.
