Still confused

Would someone please tell me if I have this right?  The test  that I have
measures Carbonate hardness and my water shows 71.6 ppm.  Would this also be
my alkalinity?  If so, I need to add sodium bicarbonate to increase my
alkalinity.  Right?  Can someone tell me how I do this and where I can get
some?   I would like to add CO2 injection without the wild pH swings.  I
have read the archive and am even more confused.
