Re: Water Chemistry -- Remedial Help

     >Can anyone recommend a comprehensive, detailed book or set of books?

The best aquarium-oriented water chemistry book I know of is:

Spotte, Stephen. 1979. Fish and invertebrate culture: water
management in closed systems. John Wiley, New York.

Don't let the first part of the title fool you--it has no information
about how to rear fish and invertebrates. The focus of the book is on
water quality control in closed system environments. It's easy enough
to read for a beginner, yet detailed enough for experts.
