Now that my algae is all gone I was wondering if there is anything special
to feed my new favorite fish?  Good ol' spirulina flake?  

I bought 8 thinking they would hopefully keep up with the algae once I
removed it, but i don't want my great fish to starve.

Also what happens to nyphea lotus (lilly I think) when you let it send up
pads to the surface without trimming them?  I have let mine go for about a
month now and it shows no signs of stopping putting up 8 inch diameter
leaves every other day.
