Algae boom questions
I know that this has been covered before but I cant seem to find it in the
archives. I just had my first algae bloom and I need some advice. I have the
tank covered with a blanket and plan to leave it that way for 3 days except
to feed the fish. Lights on for about an hour a day. Then I plan to do a big
water change in the order of 75% and run a polish filter to clean up the
water.
Is there anything else I need to do? Maybe do frequent water changes like
every other day for a week or so?
I am leaving in two weeks and the tank will be cared for by a friend that
knows nothing. Just going to ask him to feed the fish. Would like to get
this cleared up before I leave if possible.
