I'm not familiar with the Dupla heating cables, but I'm surprized to see Dave
write that they require a DC power supply. Is that correct? I would have
assumed that any heating cable would be non-polar in nature, and therefore
quite willing to work with
AC.
If DC IS required, what is the output voltage of toy train and slot-car
tracks? If it is 24-volts or higher, They should be easy to use. If it is
only 12 volts, 2 of them could run in series for a lot smaller ticket price
than Dupla probably wants.
