need help with substrate cables
after reading all the lit on lower voltages being safer I set up a
transformer with 12.6 volts - 3 amp using dupla 300 cables. According to my
calculations P=v2/r this would yield 25 watts - enough for my tank with
supplemental heating.
final test run in the bath tub the cables were minimally warm over 4 hrs.
The transformer got warm the test led worked fine.
should I try higher voltage with these cables 18.9 yields 62 watts.
