You do not need DC to run Dupla cables, AC works just fine. Get your
transformer from the traditional TV repair type electronic stores (the one
where the clerks wear plastic pocket protecters). Just make sure the
wattage is sufficient for your heater cables.

Copnnect the primary side to the mains and the secondary side to the
cables. Make sure that there is no connection between the primary and
secondary. Use a fuse on the primary. Check the output voltage with a
voltmeter to make sure it is what you want.
