Re: Apon. bulbs



I have 2 tanks, 1 with only A. cripus which have completly given up the
ghost of life and another (smaller) tank with A. ulvaceous and A.
madagascar, both of which are doing well.  The same water in both tanks
which is RO water with 1 teaspoon/gal of Kents RO Right.  In the smaller
tank the substrate is only epoxy coated gravel with no substrate
additions.  Granted the tank is about 2 years old with the same gravel,
but the water is extremely soft and these two plants always look very
nice.  So in this case it seems that hardness is not a factor.  

Could the different A. species require different hardness levels to
thrive?
