I'm not sure if it's been posted here, but I read somewhere that having the lights go out for an hour or so in the afternoon stimulates flowering in A. crispus. This has been my experience as well--both times I experimented with the "afternoon thunderstorm simulation" my A. crispus flowered within a week or two.
