Particles in Tritons

As with most fluorescent lamps, your Tritons contain mercury ... mercury is
unfortunately necessary at present ... when electrified, mercury vapor emits
strong UV light, exciting the phosphor coating on the inside of the tube, which
then emits the more familiar visible wavelengths ...if you put the light in and
everyone seems happy, it's probably ok ... some mecury may condense into small
ddroplets due to temperature changes, but it shouldn't affect the operation of
the lamp....
