Planted Discus tank woes

I have sent this message almost as written to George Booth but he may be
out of town.

I'm just about ready to turn on the gas. I've seen George's fantastic
Planted Discus tank and I apparently am missing some vital point. I
have set up a 75 gal Tank with Vallisneria americania, Echinodorus
rubins, E tenellus. pH =7.2; KH=3; Fe=.15; NO3= 17.6. Temp=84f,
phosphate < .1

The tank is inhabited by 5 juvenile German Brilliants, and 4 Cory Matae.

Now the problem: first I had a Rust brown slime algae, am now using PMDD
6 ml/day
It has switched to blue/green algae and I can't seem to get rid of it.
Can you offer any suggestions???

Best to you..........
