Re: Malachite green

	Malachite contains copper.

Malachite green does not. There are several malachite greens,
they are dyes, and quoting an organic chemistry textbook:
"Dyes of this group are derivatives of bis(p-aminophenyl)-
phenylmethane." Basic green 4 (Malachite Green 514) is
bis(p-dimethylaminophenyl)phenylmethane. I'm not going to try
ASCII art for the structure of that, but it contains _no_ copper.
I don't know who thought up the name "malachite green", but it has
caused lots of confusion.
