There seems to be some confusion here between Malachite Green and the
mineral Malachite.  The *only* thing they have in common is their color.
Malachite Green is an organic dye.  It does *not* contain copper.  It
contains carbon, hydrogen, chlorine, and nitrogen, but no copper!

OTOH, the mineral Malachite is a naturally occurring copper ore which has
nothing at all to do with the original question.
