Assuredly, your problem is caused by hungry Clown Loaches!  The cure is
cucumber!  Slice a cucumber lengthwise and weight it down with a suitable
stone or piece of shale.  If it is not entirely gone in three days, replace
it with the other half -- and so on.  Other fish like it also and I
honestly believe that it is helpful to all aquatic plants!

Regarding lighting, you are in the land of Triton Fluorescent Tubes --
where it was developed -- to follow the chlorophyll curve and grow aquatic
plants as well as corals.  You can't go wrong with Triton unless your
aquarium is deeper than 28 inches (you figure out the cm).  If it is
deeper, then you need Metal Halide.
