I am somewhat new to aquatic plants and have followed the discussion of substrate heating for the past few days with interest. Could someone please tell me the benefits of heating the substrate. I keep discus and have to keep the water in the 88 degree range, doesn't that give most aquatic plants enough heat to do their thing? Thanks, Ken Guin Kenguin at homemail_com
