Re: Poor results in my aquarium
I posted to this list on Friday regarding the poor results I have
been having in my aquarium.
I mentioned that I had grown plants here in Vancouver before
and that I previously had no problems. I also stated that I am
currently doing a number of things differently, including increased
lighting, CO2 fertilization, and adding other fertilizers.
I now believe that I overlooked the obvious. By using CO2, the
pH of my current tank fell significantly lower than in my previous
tank. On thursday I added some baking soda and brought the pH up to
around 6.6. The tank now looks significantly better. Leaves are
opening up more fully and there is signs of new growth.
I would like to thank the people who provided me with suggestions
regarding my tank.
