metals in water and Amano's CO2/KH/PH

About aluminium in water, one of the greatest caracteristic of it is
that the Aluminium Oxide covers the first layer of the metal, and the
OXxide is not water soluble. This layer will protect the metal from
water. I suppose that it can exist other problems, maybe around
electrolitic reactions.. I'll try to find info in the Chemistry Lab of
my University..
About the Amano's book.. The values of KH/PH/CO2 published are not = to
the charts that you sent to me last days..(the CO2 ph KH charts..)
Why???
