fake UG heater
Someone on this list mentioned a while back putting a heater under a
shut-down UGF plate to create a convection current, mimicking an UG heater.
Did anyone actually do it? How'd it turn out?
It certainly seemed like a low-cost alternative for those wanting to
test out the effects of undergravel heating. I'm just wondering if
it worked similarly enough to provide Dupla's stated benefits (if they
can be substantiated in short-term experiments, that is).
