DIY Test kits???
With all I've been reading about test kits on this mailing list, it seems
like getting one that works well or one that doesn't is almost the luck of
the draw. I've read about (and had) a mixture of good and bad experiences
with Seachem, Red Sea, Aquarium Pharmaceuticals, and Tetra kits. I know
people have said that with Lamotte and Hach you at least get what you pay
for, but then I read Steve Dixons' post about substantial disparities between
even those two. This is probably a silly question, but is there any practical
way of making your own cheap, fast, and most of all, reliable test kits for
iron, nitrate, phosphate, KH, etc.....?
