Your disater with the terrestrial fertilizer has given me an idea.  What
if you put the fertilizer in a small bottle that has a very small hole in
the cap?  The bottle would need to be small enough to bury in the gravel.
This would give you a very concentrated fertilizer with a pinpoint source.
You would obviously need to place the opening near the roots of the plant.
What do you other's think?
