Re: KH & GH test kit



Dan,

I also live in Seattle and my water is about 1.5 for both KH and GH. 
Very soft indeed.  Up to now, I haven't added anything to change the
hardness, but I'm starting to look for local suppliers of calcuim
carbonate.

Also, I heard Eric O. talk at the latest GSAS meeting and he suggested
TUMS as a way of adding it.  After checking the label, sure enough,
CaCO3 is in there, but does anyone know of what the other things in TUMS
will do, or would you just use this until you could get just CaCO3?
