Re: Water Temperatures
To lower temperatures, a simple fan can be more economical than a chiller.
We goldfish hobbyists blow a fan across the surface of the water to cool
tank temps. The cooling happens by evaporation so have a lot of replacement
water on hand. (Of course, everything else is done to lower temps too such
as turning off lights--may not be appropriate for plants, turning off
powerheads, and keeping a room shaded and dark.)
Cheaper than chillers and a lot less work than bagging ice throughout the day.
