 Check out the July, 1995 Aquarium Fish Magazine. It has a complete
description of how to build an Undergravel filter using PVC, a heater and a
small water tank. I built one from the plans in the magazine and eventually
turned it and the yeast-based CO2 off because I got tired of trimming the
plants!
