Tyson,
  My juvenile angels did exactly the same thing.  They showed a strong 
liking for new leaves of green hygro.  The green hygro grows fast enough 
so that it kept up, however.  Also, the angels quit doing this after a 
few months of growth.  Now they are adults and are pretty carnivorous.
