When I replied to Edmund C. Hack in Aquatic Plants Digest V1 #31 2/2    I
had my Hydrocotyles mixed up.  H. leucocephala should be the one that
ascends to the surface and has a vee-shaped cut in its leaf.  H.
verticillata is the one with horizontal stems and round leaves, the one
that I am pretty sure is growing in my lawn. I do e-mail in my office
(instead of working!), and I have my aquatic plant books at home, and so, I
was trying to name them from memory.
