Joanne-
Epson salt is USP pure Magnesium sulfate (MgSO4, or is it the hydrate,
MgSO4*7H2O?)

Anyway, Sulfur is also a nutrient which is needed by plants, although this
is not likely to be deficient. A little extra S won't hurt and neither will
the 7H2O.
