>> Subject: A Scientific Expedition? << Adam, I have used wild collected plants without problems by simply rinsing them thoroughly, making _sure_ to remove all large aquatic larva (dragonfly lava in particular) and then quarantining them for 30 days or so. If your plants really are a Valisneria sp., or as is more likely, a Sagitaria sp. a copper based medication is definitely a bad idea. Both genus' are very sensitive to copper.
