Vol. 2 of Baensch Atlas lists two plants of the genus _Ludwigia_:

_L. brevipes_ and _L. glandulosa_.

_L. brevipes_ is "comparatively less adapted to being submersed than
are others of the genus" and is more suited to the bog aquarium. It
should also be noted that this plant does better in cooler temps with
bright illumination.

_L. glandulosa_ is better suited to the aquarium than _L. brevipes_
but still "places higher than average demands on the living conditions
in an aquarium, pricipally in regard to illumination."
