Re: [APD] new CO2 system
Rich,
I have a needle valve after the 2-bar pressure droper.
I'm now at 40 bubbles per min.
During the day some water pump helps to mix it in a reactor;
during the night, some air pump gives oxygen to the fishes.
No pH regulation is involved;
Normally an emergency valve must dump the CO2
in the room when the tank pressure goes under 40 bars
i.e. after about one year for 20 kg.
Best regards,
Philippe

phillipe, do you mean trying to run the system without a needle velve? IMHO
the tank valve is not sensitive enough nor stable enough to allow that.
Plus as the tank gets lower i would think that the pressure would not stay
constant.
Bottom line, needle valves failed me and killed some very expensive fish.
