Try cutting down on feeding and vacuuming the gravel more often. If the snails cannot find enough to eat they cannot reproduce. If you have the trumpet snails then they are actually a good thing to have because they will aerate the gravel and keep it loose for plant roots to grow through and they (trumpet snails) will not harm the plants. Overfeeding is the main culprit in snail overpopulation.
