Another kick when discovering new fish is trying to identify them if they  
are tiny.  We had a few floating plants from Florida in a 10  gallon tank.  
Other than the timed light, the tank was basically  neglected.  Then one day we 
spotted two tiny fish.  They turned out to  be L. goodei, and developed into a 
pair.
