Re: [APD] Shrimp?

They do a good job of cleaning up bits of food, etc. from the bottom of
the tank which could indirectly help with algae. However, it has been
my experience that they seldom last long as tiny shrimp are a wonderful
snack for any fish that can catch them.

But all that aside, I think they are neat and for a quarter, why not?

Importance: High

They are probably "glasss" or "ghost" shrimp. Used as feeders for some
large fish. Not very useful for cleaning up in an aquarium. Usually very
inexepensive, jsut a few coins each.

My local Walmart sells shrimp. I don't know what they are. They look
clear, maybe they are sick. If I buy some and put them in my planted
tank, will they get any color at all?

Maybe they can help eat some of that algae I'm so good at growing.
