Loricaridae takes in a lot of territory and diff loricaridae feed on diff things -- some plants, some algae, some wood, etc.

Otoh, some folks find one of the smaller members of the L, the otos, do decent job but I've never found them to accomplish much. Maybe they wanted more garlic in the algae ;-)

Or maybe your tank is in good shape.

I've yet to see a pleco that eats a decent amount of algae.  The scrape
a lot, looks like they may be eating it, but aren't.
