What kind of energy saving bulbs are you referring to. The claim is bandied about by vendors quaite casually these days. Are you referring to compact fluourescents or something else?

Hi All,

In places where I cannot use fluorescent, I have tried the new energy  saving 
bulbs. They throw off a lot more light without much heat. Can you tell me  
what effect you all have experienced on fish and plants while using these bulbs? 
If you don't have the time just direct me to a site that has the 
information. I  realize a lot might have been said about this in the past.
