[APD] sinking driftwood source

Many moons ago someone posted a link for good places to get sinking driftwood, but I can't seem to find it...  Anyone have a good source?  Some of the old stumps here in the desert are very dense and sink, but are fairly small.  Thinking of trying a nice mesquite stump or two.  Don't know for sure, but I think it's fairly rot-resistant.  I am pretty lax on water changes to begin with...  Thanks.Nick A
