I thought I would never say this, but I have recently
become nostalgic for the murky discussions I can't
quite follow on allelopathy. :)

So in not-completely-off-topic fashion, some Rilke for
you (Edward Snow's translation if you care). Decide
for yourself if you think "we" refers to only mankind
or if it also calls out to the mushrooms and
paramecia:
