Hmmm... I have a tank with a combination of sand, and Scotts Aquatic
Plant Soil for substrate. the BBA always shows up first on the APS
before anything else. it never attaches to the sand. I suspect that the
porosity may be relevant. alsowhen I see it on the glas, it seems more
prominent along scratches. possibly it just has more texture to form a
bond to.
