If I am not mistaken 36" T8 bulbs are actually just over 35" long to 
account for the end caps.  I know that 4' T8 bulbs are about 47.25" long.

But the AH Supply 96 watt kit would be your best choice.  The reflector 
makes all the difference in the world.
