Most all hardware stores sell Stainless Steel 
nuts, bolts, washers and lock washers. A large 
1/2 inch or 3/4 inch lock washer given a slight 
twist with a pair of pliers to open them up just 
a bit works great to hold down plants and slices 
of squash for the Plecos.

Heavy gage Aluminum wire does not dissolve in 
water either and it is soft & wraps like lead for 
a weighted end. It sinks 'em in St Louis water.
