I have a theory this stuff comes in from Oriental, Tropica's
Singapore growing farm (if I understand the business relationship
correctly).

I've only seen it in places that order from Oriental and haven't
seen it in places that don't.

Actually, it is rampant in Florida, growing in many outdoor facilities. I
was there doing a fish and plant farm tour, and one of the proprietors told me
it is a constant pest. (I brought a batch home because I think it is neat)
