Greg Watson, http://www.gregwatson.com/categories.asp, sells the most  
economical fertililzers.  The bigger issue is learning how to use  
them and which chemicals to use.  You can do some research several  
places to learn this, including  here, http://www.rexgrigg.com/ 
dosing.htm.   If you dose any of the bottled fertilizers right,  
making sure they include nitrates, phosphates, potassium and traces,  
they will work.
