Cut that leaf off ASAP.  I try to get all "scout leaves" as soon as I see 
them.  They are sent out to see how deep the water is.  Like mentioned 
earlier, if they reach the surface all leaves will go for the surface.
Keep it trimmed (from the base of the stem), bright light and lots of food, 
and you'll have more of these than you know what to do with!

Yes it is quite nice.

The one shooting for the top is about 8 inches away from making it. It
hasn't unfurled yet either. Do I cut it off now? Do I trim it at the bottom?
Or do I wait to see how high it goes....
