It could be a hellgramite, the larva of the dobson fly.   It has only 6
legs, but it has numerous appendages hannging off the rear half.

The grow to about 3 or 4 inches and has large mandibles on the head.

They are carvivorous.

They can and do bite.  Thery are good bass bait.
