Yes, they are, just as Mother Nature designed them - a purely natural
form of plant growth found the world over in natural, organic forests.
However, here in my neck of the woods, I can't find a single hydroponic
store that sells anything except pre-mixed, pre-packaged fertilizers,
totally unsuited for our aquaria.
