Re: [APD] Algae - Causes and Solutions



The only reason I had for putting "cause" in there was that so many 
times people say "what caused this to happen?"  Maybe the answer should 
be, "because you tried to grow aquatic plants."  In any case, I agree 
that it doesn't add anything.  But, on second thought, somewhere in 
such a table should be words to the effect that allowing a dead fish to 
rot in the tank just might bring on an attack of algae, as might 
letting the CO2 level drop from 30 ppm down to 5 ppm, or forgetting to 
add phosphates, etc.  I suppose that stuff belongs in a different 
table, "Good Housekeeping for Aquarists".
