[APD] Fooling zoospores with "furanone"?

For the puropose of fooling the zoospores to not attach to certain
surfaces not controlled by plants.

Also I wonder if Furanone is released by any aquatic plants and
if that is why the leaves stay algae free (I guess I need to say
something really naïve for the old ones to bite - hit me ;)?
