Re: [APD] BGA in non CO2 Tank

When I get BGA in a non-CO2 tank, I remove as much as I can manually. Then
I dose erythromycin, which is sold in pet shops as Maracyn. I use twice the
recommended dose for 2 or 3 days and that kills the BGA. I then do a water
change to get rid of the remains.

Be sure to use Maracyn, not Marycin-2.

This approach is easier for me than the 3 or 5 day blackout.

Under either approach, having proper nutrients available in the water column
is essential, or the BGA will come back.

Good luck.

Bill
