Re: [APD] driftwood

Well, my Uncle Keensaw has repelled my Aunt Eustice for decades, but so far, he ain't proved poisonous to most folks. ;-)

Some folks add wood or leaves for the benefit of antifungal extracts to their aquaria on purpose. One of the largest corp.s in the hobby bottle s and sells it.

And while you're there, attend the AGA's annual meeting Friday afternoon (2-4pm). This year's speaker is Claus Christensen, Tropica's Managing Director.

Intuition tells me that a wood that kills moths and fungus just might
also kill fish. Cedar, Juniper, Redwood, come to mind. But, I also
know that some tropical hardwoods are poisonous even to humans. I
resisted adding any wood to my tank for that reason, but what I finally
did add, from the LFS, hasn't caused any problems.
